Can anyone if not Dr answer me a question:
If I am a high-risk group with let’s say ASTHMA OR BRONCHIAL RELATED DISEASES (PROBLEMS), does boosting up my immune system (using natural ways: increasing vitamin D in organism, etc) PREVENTS from getting a SWINE FLU?

What I mean is, she took more than she normally does on the days she was ill. On a daily basis she would normally take 1000 iu D3 and 1000 mg Vit C. No oregano oil, obviously that’s reserved for sick days only. When you feel a sore throat coming, you start taking it. It’s a natural antibacterial.

I get mine at my local COSTCO. Their not very expensive. I recommend going into a Health food shop or GNC store. Their usually very good there.

My daughter came down with flu Saturday, she overdosed on VD3 and Vt C, 2000 iu, and 2500 mg, plus oregano oil 6-7 drops twice/day. Divided throughout the day. Lots of applejuice and fluids too. Todays Wednesday, and she’s good as new. This stuff really works, only missed 3 days of school, compared to 1wk to 10 days!
The reason why people get sick in the winter as opposed to summer is because of the lack of sunlight we are exposed. That’s why Vit D should help alleviate sickness during those months. Don’t forget Vit C which also plays a big role in preventing colds and flu. People have taken up to 20,000 mg or more safely to cure things like cancer. Media and doctors will not tell you this. I’ve read that in Iraq, they stockpile Vit C incase of biological warfare. What does that tell you?
D and D3 are not the same. D3 is what you want. 1 hour of sunlight is equivalent to 28-30,000 IU of Vit D, based on a tv program I saw. I don’t know what a safe dose is, I personally started taking 2000 iu/per day, which if you do the math, is equivalent to approx. 60,000 iu per month or 2 hrs of sunlight. Seniors are usually low in Vit D. There are blood tests to check for this.
